About Dr. White

Dr. Aaron White

I grew up on a horse and cattle ranch in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I knew by age 13 that I wanted to be an orthodontist. My orthodontist inspired me. He changed my life by giving me a great smile, and I decided that I wanted to spend my life paying that forward. It has been even more rewarding than I imagined, and I look forward to giving that gift to people for many years.

I studied Biology and Music at Jamestown College and was accepted into dental school early at the age of 20. I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. After graduating near the top of my class, I was commissioned a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where I graduated #1 in my class.

I volunteered to serve a tour in South Korea, and then I returned to the U.S. for my Orthodontics residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. I graduated as the youngest orthodontist ever in the U.S. military and continued my service with the 81st Dental Squadron, where I taught orthodontics to Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and General Practice Residency residents for three years. I was also the Chief of Dental Radiology at Keesler, and published my research on 3-Dimensional Imaging via Cone Beam Computed Tomography in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. I achieved the rank of Major before separating from the Air Force. My highest military medals include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Commendation Medal.

I fell in love with a Texas girl and married my wife, Leslie in 2011. Our daughter, Eliana, is the greatest thing that's ever happened to us. When not at the office, I love coming home to play with her every day, riding motorcycles, and enjoying Austin. I have looked forward to joining the community for years, and am happy to finally be "home!"

I am involved in the following professional societies:

American Association of Orthodontics

American Dental Association

Texas Dental Association

Southwest Society of Orthodontics

Austin Orthodontic Study Club
